Mom,

Before anything else I just want to say that I am thankful of having you as my parent, I love you. There is something I want to confess about my real sexuality. I'm a lesbian, and I want to say sorry for that. The truth is I'm not attracted with the opposite sex. I've tried to change this weird thing in me but I can't. Hope you will understand and accept me. I never meant to be like this but I just can't deny the fact that I have the appearance of a woman but a heart of a man. Sorry Mom, but this is me, this is where I'm going to be happy. I love you Mom.

How does Mr.Doran feel about being a member of the Mooney family?
    In my own point of view I can tell that Mr.Doran has this hesitation in marrying Polly, maybe because he feel ashamed of what may people can say. From the story, it says that Mr.Mooney was just using her daughter to get a certain fame for her boarding house. While his father was some kind of a disreputable man. And Polly, was a little vulgar.He was thinking if what is the best thing to do, marry her or run away?. He was worried about the criticism he will take in entering this kind if status. He need to make a decision as soon as possible for him to have a peace of mind. But at the end he comes to a decision, stand and face the consequences of marriage.
